A very nice step-by-step guide to a simple CSS grid system for responsive websites. Everyone will end up with something more complex, but it’s a nice intro. (via @felix_cohen)

@phl There'll be a dramatic episode where Milly is a zombie and Egg can't bring himself to kill her and then something about law. @tomstuart

@phl This is the problem @tomstuart found. We have to assume Egg subsequently moved to the US and became a deputy.

(That's reassuring because asset pipeline is something many devs complain about but I have no idea what it is and assumed everyone used it.)

Lovely evening. Reassuring: Rails developers who have never used asset pipeline. Alarming: people too young to have heard of 'This Life'.

@phl Hmm, about 1 in 10 clicks I can get a small dot (no pin). The coords on the card that appears link to a location 10 miles away.

@phl That is the only option, although you still can’t mark a particular spot. Tried sharing it to my Gmail address and got an error.

I mean, pointing to an arbitrary place on a map seems like a pretty common use case for a map?

Am I missing something or, using the new Google Maps, is it still next-to-impossible to easily make a URL pointing to a precise spot?

OH “Does anyone know how to fix one of those pencils that you put in your coffee and now it doesn’t work?”
