  1. Tantramar: More and Moore

I like this. Buying old iPod Shuffles on eBay, filling each with music by a single artist, and using them as single musical units. Music and player in one.

  2. Hauntological Futures | booktwo.org

The first of seven posts, which I’m looking forward to. I often find myself agonising over related things: a nostalgia for past futures at the expense of… well, whatever I might otherwise think about the future.

@tomcoates Well, with such a watertight argument I bow to your superior position!

@tomcoates Is your average build quick, sell up, cash out tech startup any better for a society? Possibly too much for 140 chars :)

(Following up on weekend tweets... Bocca di Lupo have been very apologetic about their mix-ups, and we’re looking forward to returning.)

Pleased that after 7 years I still get emails from people asking for mp3s of stuff I taped off the radio years earlier http://bit.ly/dSRvdd

@Zoonie @realmonkeybear But if someone’s wrong on the internet WE’LL BE THERE!

@realmonkeybear Exactly, me neither. Or “[device] can’t do [activity]” when it usually just means they don’t use it for that.

@Zoonie So it’s not a *work* computer, for certain (many) kinds of work. That’s very different to “it is not a computer”.

@Zoonie My iPad can do a lot more than any computer I owned in 80s/90s. Other than me program it directly. But it’s not a “computer”?!

@macintosh Oh no! I read a book on my iPad last week, but it’s not a reading device! Is it broken? Should I return it?!

Woke up at four, furious blog posts fighting inside my head. It's like I've woken up ten years ago.
