I learned from Quora that CodeIgniter is pretty dead and Laravel is a well-regarded, more modern, PHP framework.
@simonw I’m getting a bit obsessive about looking every day for news of Mac Mini updates…
@pkqk I love those big rounded mugs.
@jong Don’t! Don’t! Don’t spoil my dreams! *runs away crying*
Just had a leaflet through the door about the penthouses in The Heron, now on sale from £3,600,000. Can’t decide whether to get one or two.
@tomcoates Do you need anyone to fetch you breakfast tacos? I can sort that out, so you can get on with making the world a better place.
@tomcoates Yeah. Or England. Or the UK. I get confused. I guess the Bay Area requires a bigger support area than anyone realised.
@tomcoates Is that what this is? I’m just in a massive call centre type place, following instructions. typing typing typing
@tomcoates Maybe the Morlocks don’t use the internet?

@suegyford Couldn’t see much mention of Walton at all, never mind Naze Marine…
@alicebartlett Because they miss CD-ROMs? Because they think complex=better? Because they don’t want people to see them? I’m struggling.
@franklywatson Ta, I’ll have a look. Must be difficult getting enough material for these things to feel local enough for everyone.
It still doesn’t feel like the web does really local stuff well. Yet. You know, for those of us who don’t live in the Bay Area.
I roll my eyes at “live blogs” sometimes but this one, for a region expecting flooding, is good: clactonandfrintongazette.co.uk/news/north_ess… Esp. last night.
Hopped up on ibuprofen, Strepsils and @al_chewy’s latest show, I am randomly typing ruby-like commands into a box until my code works.
@tomskitomski s/pure/good, sensible and wise/
Working from home with a pile of Strepsils. Bored already. #wildfire
