@tomcoates Yeah. I like having it as an idea of what I think personal sites should be, an accumulation of everything. But even so.
@tomcoates I want to keep doing it but… time. Even once it’s done and running, everything needs updating, always moving.
Years of writing, tweets, books read, photos taken, music listened to, sites linked to, locations checked in to. All of it moving.
That’s the difficulty with “own your own data”. Over the years you accumulate so much that the processes become onerous.
I should rewrite it. But the last Frankenstein’s monster, from the previous attempt, lies half-finished on the table, already obsolete.
My personal site is gradually rotting, interactions with services breaking, libraries no longer being updated, features disappearing.

Migrated my Blogger blog to the new format. It only contains two test posts, one from 2000, one from 2007. Due for another soon.
