@benterrett @stml Ha! That’s the first one I typed, but it didn’t fit in the tweet. Have you made it yet James?

@stml Brilliant! Is there a wall of Post Its - “Gay Helium Shard” - or are you saving that for the retrospective recreation of your studio?

@Beeker Yeah. It seems that viewers of US news/talk are taken aback by anyone being spontaneous and “off-script”, no matter what they say.

@Beeker Oh, glad it wasn’t just me. Maybe I expected too much. I guess seeing someone act like a human is, apparently, remarkable enough.

@tomtaylor @beekernortham I hear Tim Cook’s going to be wearing a micro skirt for the next iPad release.

@beekernortham I think it’s because fashion has many events, i.e. catwalk shows. Other design forms don’t much. Tech keynotes are an equiv?

  • philgyford’s avatar

@beekernortham Yeah, I can see the argument. But feels like catwalks = architecture + product design + graphics + etc etc.

Imagine a world in which all other kinds of design were given as much prominence by newspapers as fashion is.

The Guardian reports that David Cameron gave G8 leaders gifts of “CD sticks”. THAT’S NOT A THING! WHY DO I BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SAY?
