@stml Brilliant! Is there a wall of Post Its - “Gay Helium Shard” - or are you saving that for the retrospective recreation of your studio?
@Beeker Yeah. It seems that viewers of US news/talk are taken aback by anyone being spontaneous and “off-script”, no matter what they say.
@Beeker Oh, glad it wasn’t just me. Maybe I expected too much. I guess seeing someone act like a human is, apparently, remarkable enough.
@whoisdanw I love those - it never ends, and the commentaries are always SO serious.
I guess the new Spotify suggesting I “like to try” some of my favourite bands is a sign its recommendations are accurate.
@dracos I know, I know. Graphic designers wanting it to look prettier / wanting more space.
@dracos Why have it at all then? Nuts.
GDS pulls illustrative icons because people don’t understand them (surprise!) / GitHub introduces new icon-only navigation (grrr!).
@beekernortham I think it’s because fashion has many events, i.e. catwalk shows. Other design forms don’t much. Tech keynotes are an equiv?
@beekernortham Yeah, I can see the argument. But feels like catwalks = architecture + product design + graphics + etc etc.
Imagine a world in which all other kinds of design were given as much prominence by newspapers as fashion is.
The Guardian reports that David Cameron gave G8 leaders gifts of “CD sticks”. THAT’S NOT A THING! WHY DO I BELIEVE ANYTHING YOU SAY?
