Coincidentally, the company I work for has introduced a cycle-to-work scheme, so I'm getting an upright, old-fashion bike in two weeks' time (any weekday morning from 17-24th). That'll be from Condor Cycles in Gray's Inn Road. If you'd like to tag along you could browse around with no pressure to buy anything because I'll be the one doing that. It's galling to realise that the dollar price of your Otis is practically the same as the pound sterling price of the one that I want - why does that always happen?
And perhaps you should suggest redesigning the Condor Cycles website in exchange for a bicycle, because it's atrocious.
Hmm, I wonder what the alternative history would have been like if the Romans had invented the bicycle - think of their legions cycling down all those straight Roman roads. The Roman Empire would never have fallen.

Unfortunately I'm not free any mornings or else I would tag along. I looked at Condor's site when looking for bikes and gave up, so I'll probably end up not going there.
I might go and try one of the Azor models at Velorution one day — nice and upright and an alternative to Pashleys.
