    @yoz It's just how things were done back then, a more honest time. Any parent would happily give their kids hifi cables to play with and it didn't do any harm to the ones that survived! These cordless blue toothed headphones they have now are just health and safety overkill.

    @yoz Thanks Yoz. I'm the first to admit that some people didn't get on with these headphones but they were brought up in a different time and it seems unfair to judge them by today's values.

    I am entering a period of mourning: I just tripped over a cable and broke a pair of 30 year old headphones. They will be missed.
