And, look, I really don't want to make anyone else feel bad about themselves, *or* glibly say "It's easy if you just go for it!" I'm a cis, white, straight, male who's had the benefit of a comfortable middle-class upbringing, great friends and colleagues, and a lot of luck!!

@DeanVipond I realise it's hard to believe that I could achieve something so difficult, and I don't know how to prove the thoroughness of what I've done, but I hope you'll just have faith in me Dean. Anything is possible!

@stefpos Thanks. I think my oldest were 2-3 years old. I like to think of myself as someone who has a tidy desktop but I realised was about to enter my fourth column of screenshots and temporary text files, so…

I'm not very good at making a big deal about my own achievements – like any diffident British person I find it excruciatingly embarrassing. So, this isn't easy, but... I have just cleared my Mac's desktop of files.

@latchylatchford I'm sure it'd be interesting but I think my client would prefer me not to spend their budget reinventing the wheel, even if that wheel is more "perfect" from my point of view :)
