    @antimega This is probably why I’ve never got round to getting it. I suspect it will have carefully removed any fun and excitement from the stories.

    King Street ran north/south, roughly between today’s Parliament Square and Downing Street, west of the current road, and the Axe was a pub vaguely near No. 10, and it would be a terrible thing to wish that what if…

    But, Lord! to see how the plague spreads. It being now all over King’s Street, at the Axe, and next door to it, and in other places.
