  1. IE-friendly mobile-first CSS with Sass 3.2

Via previous link, on serving separate, slightly different, stylesheets for old IEs and everything else.

  2. Responsive grid system which works in IE6 | Technology at GDS

Using SCSS. And not an ugly hack. Having been thinking about grids/page structure at work recently, and needing to support old browsers, this is handy. (via @benterrett)

@edds Nice! And handy too, so thanks for writing that up.

@bensummers For added fun, the UserAgent string was still insisting it was vanilla IE9. Thankfully, conditional comments work.

@bensummers You’d think so wouldn’t you. Maybe that works if the user has set Compatibility View themselves? Doesn’t work here, anyway.

Internet Explorer Compatibility View automatically set on corporate computers… like once-slain zombies returning from the dead. Begone IE7!

@infovore I’m looking at how much wall space our small team uses in this large open office full of people who aren’t (yet) using walls…

Is anyone designing open-plan offices more like art galleries, given agile teams’ needs for more wall space? #mayberhetorical
