Freelance WEB DEVELOPMENT AND CONSULTING
  I perform a variety of roles, focussing on the design and build of 
  websites. I create accessible and elegant HTML and CSS pages and
  produce neat, well-commented, object-oriented PHP and MySQL.
  * I and a colleague were commissioned by the BBC to develop a new 
    editorial focus for the bbc.co.uk homepage.
  * I developed all the HTML/CSS templates for BBC Programmes:
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/
  * I designed and prototyped various behind-the-scenes form-based 
    processes used by advertisers on the Blyk mobile phone network.
  * I created a site for Jamie Oliver with Poke which went on to win
    a Webby Award. I was solely responsible for all PHP, HTML, CSS and 
    integration of third party applications: http://www.jamieoliver.com/
  * I designed and built the website for the BBC Innovation Labs in 2006 
    using Movable Type, which continues to be used.
  * I have designed and built The Time When for the BBC, a prototype for
    recording peoples' memories of days in history and aggregrating 
    events on a day-by-day basis. An internal team later developed
    Memoryshare based on the prototype.
  * I developed an internal-only demo site for the BBC that enabled 
    users to search, browse, rate and comment on a huge archive of TV 
    programmes and share their preferences with friends.
  * Working with Wilson Fletcher I have produced neat and accessible 
    HTML/CSS templates for the Royal Society of Chemistry and Wood

  * Other clients have included Dopplr, The Guardian, FT.com, Syzygy, 
    Campbell-Lange Workshop, Ideas Bazaar, and other projects for the BBC.

  Creating and developing web-based products, both in-house and for
  public- and private-sector clients such as the award winning

  design and information architecture through development using PHP,
  MySQL, Perl, and W3C standards-compliant HTML and CSS.

MSc in FUTURE STUDIES, University of Houston-Clear Lake, Texas, USA.
  Gained a wide-ranging theoretical and practical knowledge of futures
  ideas and methods, with a personal concentration on communications
  technology and urban development. 'A's for every class.
  * Quantitative and qualitative techniques such as data analysis,
    questionnaires, trend scanning, scenario building and visioning.
  * Examination of trends through history and around the world, and the
    causes and effects of social change.
  * Methods for facilitating and encouraging group brainstorming.
  * Final thesis entitled 'Conceptual Dissemination Between the Internet
    and the Mainstream.'

  Co-ordinating the integration and regionalisation of a new web-based

  activity of their Member of Parliament. I was responsible for 90% of
