A New Links Page...If you have an ocean liner website or know of one you would like to see linked from this site, notify me by e-mail. I will be happy to list you on my links page
Let us not forget the reason for the building of these great ships. The world at this time was witnessing a mass immigration to "The New World." These were the oppressed, poor and hungry from other countries who risked all they had to make a new start in a land of opportunity. Many of these people never made it to their new land. Their dreams lay shattered on the ocean floor with the ships that carried them. Without the period of immigration the United States experienced, this great nation would never have been what it is today. America is the land for the common man.
